Thune is a high street jewellery retailer, wholesaler and goldsmith workshop with locations in the Norwegian cities of Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim, as well as the town of Bodø. The business operates under both owned and franchised models and has a rich history and a well established name, one that dates back to 1857.
LOGOTYPE – HAND DRAWN TYPOGRAPHY
With a desire to express the modernity of Thune’s jewellery and in-store experience, whilst also being sensitive to and emphasising its significant legacy, we developed a visual identity that balances traditional cues with those that feel distinctly more current. We did this by bringing together a distinctive and custom serif wordmark with the traditional flourishes of hand lettering, alongside a navy and white colour palette.
